Justin's Oven

My family and I were in Kimberly for the weekend, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We made reservations for Saturday dinner and went right back for lunch on Sunday. The food here was unbelievable, it was hard to stay away. We had the brisket, bison burger and grilled cheese. Crab cakes, salmon sliders and pulled chicken on potato skins were all SOO GOOD. Their fries were the best I’ve ever had, thicker cut with flakes of sea salt. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back.

For our last meal as an unmarried couple, my fiancé (now husband) and I choose #JustinsOven in nearby Kimberley, Ontario. This was a Friday night so they do 12 inch wood fired #pizza. The demand is so great you have to order ahead to get your place for the oven and your pizza. We ordered the #MammaMia Pizza tomato base, mozzarella, caramelized onions, sausage, roasted red peppers, red onions, jalapeños, and basil. I loved the delicious jalapeño kick. We also ordered the #TandooriChicken Pizza curry base, mozzarella, caramelized onions, chicken, red onions, pineapple, and basil. Yes, Pineapple goes on pizza. Loved the great flavor combinations and all the wonderful toppings. Both pizzas had plenty of fresh Basil and used fresh, locally sourced, ingredients which added a lot of great flavor. Using a Wood Fired Oven made the pizzas crispy and yummy. Enjoyed sitting outside and seeing everyone else’s lovely Pizzas. My wife recently picked up Smoked Trout from the Kimberly General Store. I assumed it was the usual smoked trout and then I had my first taste. I was totally surprised as a little piece of heaven exploded in my mouth. It was delicious, firm and so tasty. It reminded me of the delicacy of some of the smoked salmon I have had on the west coast. I can't say enough about the taste and texture. Kimberly General store is our go to for sour dough bread and now we will add smoked trout to the list. We are excited to hear that you are building an additional smoke house to bring more of your creations to an already incredible line-up of fresh, local, delicious food. Thank you Justin and Stacy!

What a lovely place. Cute, charming and delicious. Everything tasted homemade. It was a nice low key dinner off the beaten path. The menu is small but decent. My partner had the vegetarian wrap which he loved and I had the jerk chicken (a special) and fries, which was okay. I think everyone should stop by apres ski or after a hike for a hardy meal of comfort food.
